TIP #1

Never Resample or Scale Up Your Artwork

Unless you master the technique of image resampling or AI upscaling and understand the impact in your image sharpness, we suggest to avoid increasing the pixel size of your artwork digitally. This is called “resampling” and widely discouraged. You always want to capture your files in the highest resolution and scale down. Scaling up will degrade the quality of your artwork and subsequent print. The most commonly disapointment are those which failed to heed this rule

TIP #2

Calibrate Your screen

In order to insure that the colors on your monitor match the colors in the prints you receive from us, it is best to have a properly calibrated and profiled monitor. You can try some evaluation prints without calibrating your monitor but you will get more consistent and repeatable results if you do calibrate. Also Do not approve an image from your mobile phone. or small screen.

TIP #3

Adapt your images based on the medium you are choosing

Pictorem can print on so many creative substrate. The color rendering will differ from your screen if you decide to print on specialty medium such as Brushed Metal Print or silver canvas. Your white portion of your screen will render silvery. Consider this when uploading the image to take the most of it.
Also if you plan to print on a stretched canvas. Consider how you want the sides of the canvas, we do provide option during checkout ( mirror edges ( most popular ), wrap canvas or flat color.

TIP #4

Do not send us Raw files

We don't accept raw files. And that's a good thing because raw conversion is an art in its own right, not to mention various exposure, color, and other corrections that you make. What you want to deliver to the printer is the final image in an unambiguous, high fidelity format that will give you a predictable result.
