Aaron Afilalo is a New Jersey based contemporary painter. His first memories of life involve drawing on a newly painted bedroom wall with wax crayons and later his school books were liberally illustrated. Aaron also remembers doing the same thing to any blank surface.
His early paintings were detailed and illustrative with a limited palette, but he always felt motivated to simplify his work in order to emphasize the effects of light on land, reflected water, or sky's rhythms. Aaron's policy was not influenced by other artists or styles from books or videos until he needed inspiration.
Since 2010, Aaron Afilalo has participated in many group and solo exhibitions, invited to be a guest artist, and featured in two art publications.
